Preventing Burnout for the Ones Carrying the Flame
This session will discuss the importance of encouraging those you’re leading (especially those who are leading others). Burnout is easy, passionate persistence is tough. How can we keep them doing the tough thing?
Who’s Driving This Thing?
Evaluating the Roles that Vision, Relationships, Programs, and Management play in a successful ministry. When the wrong strategy is in the wrong seat of the car, there’s no telling where you’ll end up. Let’s set our sights on the right destination.

Charles Draper – Associate Pastor, Family & Discipleship Ministries, Spring Baptist Church, Spring

A Healthy Process for Starting New Classes

You’ll discover the priorities in starting new classes and positive ways to present a plan for making room for more people which is the primary driver for starting new classes, and you’ll learn pitfalls to avoid.

Creating a Growth Atmosphere that Reaches New People

You’ll learn easy things you can do to welcome and reach new people, especially those who are already attending your church but are not in a small group yet.  These strategies will help people check out your small group ministry and “stick” as they’ll want to be part of it.

How to Know you are Getting the Word Across for Spiritual Transformation

This class will present teaching methods that engage the class in interactive Bible Study for Life Application in the lives of your learners with the goal of building disciples and not just church members.

Children’s Leaders

Sessions and Leaders:

Cindy Rogers, Director of Childhood Ministries, Northeast Houston Baptist Church, Humble

Children’s Ministry in 2024: The Big Picture
Children’s ministry is not a place for kids to be while their parents are in church. Children’s Ministry should transform children into spiritual champions. This session will share the reasons behind children’s ministry and why children should be a priority at  every church.
KidMin as an On-Ramp to Church Growth
How do you develop a children’s ministry that attracts new families to your church? In this session we will share ideas for events as well as ways to follow-up with visiting families. Learn ways to get new people in the door and strategies to keep them coming.
Planning and Leading Well in KidMin
Do you struggle with planning in advance and knowing how to budget for kidmin?
This session will offer practical advice on how to plan a year of ministry in KidMin so you are not stressing to get a plan at the last minute.

Jared Simpson, Children’s and Family Pastor, Normandale Baptist Church, Ft. Worth

Who Are the Kids We Teach?

In this session we’ll explore social, cognitive, physical, and spiritual characteristics of preschoolers through preteens to help us anticipate their struggles and set everyone up for success.

Helping Kids Grow

What should we do before, during, and after teaching children? In this session we will walk through strategies for teaching kids so that they can grow in their walk with Jesus.

More Than the Kids

Many of us step into leadership because we love kids, but quickly find that more of our time should be spent investing in adults – our parents and volunteers. In this session we will discuss ways to minister to parents and teachers on your team.
