Unity Baptist Association churches are keenly aware of the state of the church in America. We know that 900 churches close their doors every year. We know that thousands of churches are in crisis today and that reality is certainly true in Polk and Angelina counties. We are concerned about churches that are struggling, either because of demographic changes, aging population, internal strife, or any of the other myriad reasons affecting churches today.
Our goal is to help churches be healthy and engaged in the Great Commission. To that end we are focused on helping churches within our association who are ready to go through the arduous task of revitalization or even replanting. We are committed to raising up, encouraging, and supporting leaders who will step into difficult situations to help churches bring glory to God through revitalization. We are committing all types of resources to this task: including finances, materials, and people. Our preference is to see churches become vibrant hubs of ministry in all types of communities.
We are currently looking for churches who are willing to serve as Revitalization Partners. There are 4 Levels of Partnership – All levels include: Pastor will be available for mentorship and weekly prayer
- Prayer Partner – Pray for the church by name in your worship service each week
- Resource Partner – Contribute 1 of the following:
– Funds monthly or one time to help with the revitalization
– People once per year to help with an outreach emphasis
- Leadership Partner – Contribute funds on a monthly basis, send leadership to the church for at least a 1 year commitment
- Adoption Partner – Make a 3 year commitment to lead the revitalization/replant process with a church.

If you think your church may be eligible for the church revitalization ministry we invite you to begin the process by going through a church health survey with the assistance of our revitalization team. We work with pastors and churches to get the best result for your congregation and to bring God glory through the work of your church.
Churches that are interested in the revitalization process should contact Steve Brazzel. We will set up a time to visit and explain the revitalization process. We always work in support of the pastor of the church to bring the best possible result for the kingdom. You can download a fuller explanation of the process here.
