94th Annual Meeting Recap
Wow! What a great annual meeting. I heard from several of you how much you enjoyed our 94th Annual Meeting.
Thanks so much to Cross Timbers Cowboy Church for hosting, feeding, welcoming, and valuing our association. Pastor Ford Adkins and his wife Angie along with the entire team of cooks, servers, welcomers, tech support and everyone were on point all day and night.
Jimmy Ivins of Lifepoint Church and Angie Adkins of Cross Timbers led us to the throne in worship and my good friend Mike Satterfield brought an inspiring, encouraging, and challenging message. PLOD!
We are grateful to Scott Reed, pastor of Lifepoint and our moderator, for keeping everything moving along so well in his leadership. We are blessed to have him and other men leading out in our association. I am thankful for each of those who gave reports and participated in the meeting for their spirit and enthusiasm for what God is doing.
It’s clear that God is working in the churches and that means He is at work in our association.
Last night we approved the report from our Associational Council for our leadership teams in 2022. As far as I can tell this represents the most people we have had involved in leadership in our association in many years.
We approved our 2022 budget of $128,000. Each year our church contributions are increasing. In 2019 we were up 3.5% over 2018. 2020 gave us a 6% increase. This year we are up 9% over 2020. God continues to bless and your generosity is so encouraging.
We also voted to enter a partnership with the New England Baptist Convention: Vermont. I’m excited to see all that God will do in and through us as we partner with the churches in Vermont over the next 5 years. To read more about this partnership visit THIS PAGE on our site.
I pray that this next year is the best ever in Unity Baptist Association. May the Lord be glorified through our worship, our work, our words, and our joyful submission to Him. God bless!
